CORE SERVICES

Mental Health Assessment – The single most important contact between the individual

and our mental health services. It’s the first step toward diagnosis and an individual plan

of treatment. Always, the assessment guides the course of care.

Psychiatric Services – Mental illness has different causes. For many persons, there are biochemical changes - changes in brain chemistry. Most disabling symptoms of mental illness can be managed by a prescribed medication plan. Staying on the right medication at the right dose for the right length of time…is a major step toward long-term recovery.

Counseling & Therapy – Serious problems can interfere with daily living, or life changes may overwhelm a person’s ability to cope. Counseling provides skills and options needed to manage life’s challenges, improve self-esteem , relationships and mood. Individual, family and group counseling are available.

Community Psychiatric Support Treatment – Multiple services “wrap around” persons to promote self-sufficiency and encourage independent community living.

Partial Hospitalization – A more intensive, daily level of group service for persons who need additional contact with their treatment team to manage a time of crisis or bring disabling symptoms into control.

Mental Health Education, Training and Consultation – Services and programs on

mental health topics presented for community organizations.
