and our mental health services. It’s the first step toward diagnosis and an individual plan
of treatment. Always, the assessment guides the course of care.
Psychiatric Services – Mental illness has different causes. For many persons, there are biochemical changes - changes in brain chemistry. Most disabling symptoms of mental illness can be managed by a prescribed medication plan. Counseling provides skills and options needed to manage life’s challenges, improve self-esteem , relationships and mood. Individual, family and group counseling are available.
Community Psychiatric Support Treatment – Multiple services “wrap around” persons to promote self-sufficiency and encourage independent community living.
Partial Hospitalization – A more intensive, daily level of group service for persons who need additional contact with their treatment team to manage a time of crisis or bring disabling symptoms into control.
Mental Health Education, Training and Consultation – Services and programs on
mental health topics presented for community organizations.
